Hattie's Heart - Paper Piecing Class
Hattie's heart is a great beginners class for those who don't know how to paper piece. However, if you already know how to paper piece, it is just a super cute pattern to make while having fun with others. The background is shown as one color, but you can make it scrappy too.
Suppy List:
Supplies listed include enough fabric to make 7 Hattie’s Heart blocks.
Adjust the amount of fabric based on the number of blocks you intend to make.
This is a great stash buster pattern.
Fabrics:
7 different fabrics for heart, 8” x 16” each or 7 Fat Eighths
Stack of 7 pieces of background fabric, 6 1⁄2” x 8 1⁄2" or 7/8 yard of one color background fabric
Flat head quilting pins (NOTE: Flat head pins allow you to lay a quilting ruler flat on your pinned paper pattern when cutting)
Clothes pins or fabric clips
Rotary Cutter
Quilt ruler
12” Add a Quarter Plus Ruler
Glue stick

Class preparation:
Please complete the following steps prior to the beginning of class:
1. Iron your fabric and cut to size:
a. Heart fabric – cut all seven pieces to 8” x 16”
b. Background fabric – cut seven pieces to 6 1⁄2” x 8 1⁄2 “
