Cash Sale, Market News, and More
Thank you to all who participated in the state wide Quilt Across Texas Shop Hop! Between the weather and the distances to travel, we know this has been a daunting shop hop, but we are grateful to have seen the many participants from across our region and this state.
We will have our annual cash sale on October 10, 11, and 12, 2013. As always, if you pay for your purchases with cash or a check, you receive 30% off regular price fabric and panels if you purchase with cash or a check. You receive only 20% off the same items if you purchase with a credit card. One yard minimum purchase; yellow reward cards cannot be used or redeemed during this sale.
Angled Christmas Tree Skirt Class: October 3 and 10, from 10 am - 4 pm. Class is $50 for the two sessions. This tree skirt will use the 10 degree ruler. A sample is on display at our store.
· A Beginning Smocking Class is being offered October 5, 12, and 19, from 10am to 1 pm; it is necessary for attendance at all three classes in order to fully pick up the needed skills and information. Becky will teach the class, and the fee is $60. A kit will be available for $20, which includes a partially constructed and pre-pleated infant size bishop dress in your choice of solid color batiste. Homework will be necessary between classes. Pre-registration is a MUST by September 26, as kits must be assembled with your choice of gown color. Only a minimum of 2 students and a maximum of 5 students will be allowed. This is a special class for creating a special garment for your loved one.
The Houston Market for Quilt Businesses is October 25 -28, 2013. Becky and Leann will leave Thursday, October 24, at noon. The store will remain open Thursday and Friday, but it will close on Saturday and reopen on Tues., October 29, at 10 am. We always learn new things at market, so we look forward to it every year.
