April Special Events
This is National Serger Month and National Decorating Month.
Make a new quilt, a pillow or a bag. Consider taking a class to increase your skills or decorate your home. Consider some of the following classes or projects.
First Ladies Quilt Club -- Come work on these beautiful quilt blocks from Eleanor Burns' Tales of the First Ladies quilt book. Complete the quilt blocks to make a large queen size, or make fewer blocks for smaller projects. $40 per month pays for the fabric and class. Come see the finished quilt!
Worldwide Make a Quilt Day & Sale! -- Thursday, April 17
Come cut out, sew, quilt or even bind a simple baby quilt for donation! We will have cutting stations and sewing machines to make large nine patch baby quilts. Then you can go to the long arm quilting machine and try your hand at quilting. You may even enjoy it so much you will come back and rent time to quilt your own quilts. You can make a quilt from start to finish and know all materials are donated and quilts will go to Driscoll Children's Hospital and the Ark!
If you want to bring material to donate for these quilts, it will be appreciated.
Here's the bonus! If you come in and work on one of these donation quilts, we will give you 20% off anything you buy that day (excluding already on sale items).
In May we have some instructors working on new and different classes. We will keep you informed.
We also have our children's class schedules ready to put out in an email mid-April. There are some interesting projects lined up for beginners and advanced students.
